Summary of Gartner PPM Magic Quadrant 2017 Review of Project Objects

Gartner Magic Quadrant reports are conducted annually, each time focusing on a different aspect of the features and benefits a PPM solution should offer its users. The 2017 Magic Quadrant evaluates software providers targeting a complete and evolving PPM life cycle. To be classified as a Visionary by Gartner demonstrates that Project Objects offers a comprehensive software solution to support the selection, planning and execution of projects, which addresses the full cycle of organizational needs.

Some of the strengths of ProjectObjects which were highlighted by Gartner include our software’s ability to be deployed either on-premises or as a cloud-based PPM service.

In addition, the Magic Quadrant report acknowledged the breath of ProjectObject’s capabilities and the availability of Needful, as a collaborative, add- on product module that can also be used as a standalone solution. Needful is designed to enhance traditional Waterfall PPM methodologies with an Agile approach, supporting the use of ‘to-do’ lists, task management, Kanban boards and timelines.

Ease of use, cost effectiveness, availability of a native mobile application and the Company’s ability to support execution-level or portfolio-level best-in-class PPM configurations for customers - in North America and Europe - were also cited as key ProjectObjects capabilities. All these positive acknowledgements by Gartner are recognition of the Company’s ongoing investment in developing our solution’s functionality and support capabilities globally.

Understanding Gartner’s Visionary Classification

Vendors designated as Visionary in the Gartner PPM Magic Quadrant are classified as such due to their completeness of vision and best practice PPM functionality reflecting innovative approaches in areas such as collaboration, social networking and responsive customer care, mobile device support, interoperability with third-party data sources and group-specific collaboration with PMOs, steering committees, workgroups, project execution environments and teams.
